Reverend Dr. Bryan A. Jones, LPC

Reverend Dr. Bryan A. Jones, LPC is a native of Middlesex County, Virginia. Dr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Averett (College) University in Danville, VA. He was a double major in History and Political Science and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from The Samuel Proctor School of Theology (STVU) at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA, and his Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH. 

His doctoral research project was entitled, "A Clinical Model for Dealing with the Ineffectiveness of Mental Health in the African-American Church." In his research, Dr. Jones addressed the stigma of mental health in the African-American community and the church. His research provided a clinical teaching model to help the church understand the importance of mental health and wellness.

Additionally, Dr. Jones is the Executive Director and Founder of The Joshua Generation Care and Consultant Services, LLC (www.joshua-generation.net) in Atlanta, GA, (with three locations providing mental health services and education), and The Foundation for Therapeutic and Spiritual Empowerment, Inc., a 501c3 non- profit which serves the community by providing affordable mental health services, mental health awareness, and mental health education.

Dr. Jones is a licensed professional counselor, an ordained minister, a board-certified clinical chaplain, and a clinical pastoral education (CPE) supervisor. Dr. Jones is the radio host of his weekly Talk Show, "Therapeutic Conversations" on Facebook Live and Youtube.com, which discusses mental health, spirituality and self-empowerment.

A licensed mental health professional that strongly believes in the empowerment of individuals and our community, Dr. Jones states, "My life's mission is that as people learn more about the mental and spiritual power within themselves, they can live better lives. Using principals of psychotherapy, therapeutic interventions, and spiritual empowerment are important keys to expanding consciousness and personal growth."
