Join Us in Denver - A Note from the Event Registrar

Last week you received an email from Raymond Lawrence, General Secretary, about the upcoming 2021 CPSP Plenary in Denver, CO. Raymond shared about the guest speaker, Joanne Greenberg, and the relevancy of her being a part of our annual event. As a result of his note, several of you registered for the Plenary event and I'm excited that you're planning to join us!

I'm writing today to remind you that the special rate we have for the hotel, The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, expires at 12 PM (Mountain) on Wednesday, April 7.

CPSP has an excellent rate for the event, $149/night (single or double). Room rates are usually $199-$500 and the suites are usually $500 to $1600 per night - CPSP got an excellent deal for rooms, as I'm sure you'll agree!

Have you seen The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa

The hotel opened in 1892 and the doors hadn't been locked until 2020 due to the pandemic. The Brown re-opened in May 2020. It's a Forbes Four-Star hotel with AAA Four Diamond rating.

A few amazing facts about the hotel:

  • There are six dining options within the hotel and over 25,000 square feet of meeting space.

  • Nearly every U.S. President since Teddy Roosevelt has visited The Brown Palace. Dr. Sun Yet Sen, Queen Marie of Romania, and French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing have also stayed there.

  • Celebrity guests from the The Beatles to the Rolling Stones to Jayne Russell, Metallica to Robert Redford have stayed at The Brown.

  • The Brown is one block from the free electric shuttle on the 16th Street Mall, within easy walking distance of everything in Downtown Denver.

  • The hotel amenities include a 24-hour business center and a 24-hour fitness center. And the Spa looks amazing!

  • The Brown is also very green, as the hotel is the first hotel in the city to keep rooftop bees, has a 720 foot deep artesian well below the hotel, and has recycling and compost programs. (Look for honey in the food, beverage, and products at hotel - it's from the bees on the rooftop!)

We've included a facts sheet (linked) about the hotel that will tell you more - check out section "Secrets of The Brown Palace" for some interesting reading!

The Brown also carries a special safety certification with the City of Denver during this pandemic time. The hotel has met and exceeded the federal and local COVID-19 guidelines, which means we'll be in good hands during our time together.

Plenary registration will remain open throughout the event, but the special pricing at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa at $149/night is only good for a few more hours. We have a few in-person tickets left, and you can book your hotel room through me - my contact info is below.

If you'd like to register for the event, whether you're coming to Denver or attending virtually, I'd be glad to help.

I hope to talk with you soon.
